Helping Young Minds Thrive in the Digital Age.

Technology is changing childhood. Parenting and teaching have to change with it.

Media Minded offers practical, research-informed guidance for families and schools to help kids navigate screens, smartphones, social media and AI.

What We Do

Guidance grounded in psychology, not fear.

There is no shortage of advice telling parents what their children should and shouldn't be doing with technology. The problem is that much of it is conflicting, overly simplistic, or based on fear.

Media Minded takes a different approach.

Founded by Sara Singer Schiff, MA in Media Psychology, Media Minded draws on research in media psychology, child development, and learning in order to help families and schools understand not just how much technology young people are using, but how they're using it, why they're using it, and how it is affecting the rest of their lives.

The goal isn't to eliminate technology, since it is not going away. It's to help young people develop healthier habits, stronger self-regulation, and the skills to navigate a digital world more safely.
